Experience exceptional landscapes and big game in the Tuli Block, known as the Land of Giants. View White Rhinos at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary and visit Botswana’s finest National Parks where there is an abundance of Big Five game amongst other fascinating wildlife. Discover the Okavango Delta in traditional style dug-out canoes and see the huge Elephant herds in Chobe National Park.

In between fabulous game viewing activities and travelling, you assist with a variety of tasks around the camp like packing the vehicle and meal preparation. You’ll spend most nights camping in well-appointed campsites either within a National Park, on the banks of a river or at other places of interest. Some nights will be spent in chalets at standard safari lodges. You’ll enjoy wholesome meals around the camp fire with new found friends and magical evenings under starry night skies.

Day 1: Johannesburg – Arrival

View of mountain.Your Mobile Camping Safari has begun! From Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport, you will take a complementary airport shuttle onward to your comfortable accommodation located 20 minutes away. Your stay will be on a bed and breakfast basis for one night (dinner for own account). In the evening you will meet your tour guide, who will give you information about your trip and answer any questions you may have.

Day 2: Johannesburg – Northern Tuli Block (Botswana)

Land Cruiser. There will be an early start today. After breakfast you will be transferred from Johannesburg northwards into the Limpopo region. En route you will change the vehicle from a minibus to a fully equipped 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser which has comfortable seating, windows for game viewing and a sound system. Your journey will take you through Pretoria and Potgietersrus into Botswana via the Platjan Border Post.

You’ll be staying in chalet accommodation in a beautiful area called the Tuli Block. This thin strip of land in the southeast of Botswana, borders Zimbabwe to the north and South Africa to the south. The land in the extreme east has a number of game reserves where huge herds of Elephant and hundreds of colourful birds can be seen. Depending on time of arrival at camp, there will be a game drive either this evening or early tomorrow morning. Enjoy a tasty evening meal around the fire prepared by your guide.

Day 3: Northern Tuli Block – Khama Rhino Sanctuary

Camp.Your destination for the day is the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. The Khama Rhino Sanctuary Trust was established in 1991 as a community based wildlife project. The aim of the sanctuary is to assist in saving the vanishing White Rhino, restore an area previously teeming with wildlife to its natural state, as well as provide economic benefits to the local Batswana people through tourism and the sustainable use of natural resources.

You’ll explore the sanctuary on a game drive in the afternoon in search of White Rhinos. On your return to camp you can spend time at the pool and bar or head off for a hot shower before the evening meal around the camp fire. Later you’ll retire to your dome tent which is mosquito proofed for your comfort.

Day 4: Khama Rhino Sanctuary – Makgadikgadi Pans

River.Today, there is a long day of driving as you leave the Khama Rhino Sanctuary and head for the Makgadikgadi Pans. Once you have arrived you can stretch your legs and take in the vast open, uninhabited spaces and endless blue skies of the Makgadikgadi, the silence in this arid place is an unforgettable experience. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure in camp where you can relax at the pool and bar or have a siesta before dinner.

Day 5: Makgadikgadi Pans - Maun - Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta. After breakfast you leave the awesome Makgadikgadi Pans and set off for Maun, which is the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Day 6: Maun – KhwaiRiver

Bush Camp.Following breakfast there is a short drive from Maun to the Mokoro station. From this point, you board your mokoro and float through the lush vegetation of the Okavango Delta, discovering a variety of birds and wildlife along the way. The Okavango Delta is unique in the world because it flows into the Kalahari Desert without reaching the coast.

Afterwards, you make your way to the bush camp which is situated on a private concession in the Khwai River area. This concession lies between Moremi and Chobe and this evening, you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of nocturnal animals on a night game drive. At the end of the day you can enjoy a campfire dinner and swop stories about your experiences.

Day 8: Khwai River - Moremi Game Reserve

You will reach the camping area in the late afternoon in time for a refreshing swim, sundowners and then dinner.

You have an early start the next morning for a game drive in search of Africa’s Big Five! Return for breakfast and leisure time. Later you’ll enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on the Chobe River.
